O.A. Grant Excellence in Teaching Award
The O.A. Grant Excellence In Teaching Award, initiated by the Tarleton Alumni Association and the Tarleton Alumni Relations Office, honors Tarleton faculty who are regarded as outstanding educators. At least one individual from each of the university’s academic colleges, except from the College of Graduate Studies, will be selected and recognized at the Alumni Academic Forum.

The Hunewell Bandstand Story
For over 20 years, Dennis G. Hunewell directed the military band at Tarleton. His love for music, teaching, and students inspired the building of the Hunewell Bandstand and the dedication of Hunewell Park.
